  Let me start off by saying, the pizza was phenomenal.
  
  That pizza is the only reason I give Penfield Guida's Pizzeria a review better than 1.
  
  We went in on Sunday night, being our first time there, and asked for a menu. They had to search for a menu to give us.
  
  We ordered Loaded Fries as an appetizer and a medium pizza with two sides of bleu cheese. The pizza got to us before the fries. We then had to remind them we ordered loaded fries and two sides of bleu cheese.
  
  We got our bleu cheese but the menu states we would get "Guida's Own Bleu Cheese." They gave us "Ken's" (which is not a tragedy in and of itself, but proper advertising would have been nice).
  
  When they brought the fries out, they weren't loaded. So we had to send them back again. To Guida's credit, they completely remade the fries instead of just dumping cheese and bacon on them, but we never recieved the ranch and sour cream that the menu states comes with the loaded fries. At this point, we had complained twice about the fries, and were unwilling to again.
  
  Now lets talk about customer service. When we ordered my friend and I decided to pay separate so he said to the cashier that we would have two different orders. She took his order and he walked away to go sit. I stood there for 10 seconds waiting for her to look up and acknowledge me so I knew she was ready to take my order. When she finally looked up, she looked to the guy behind me, to take his order. I had to make my presence known that I was there first and that I was ready to order.
  
  She seemed irritated whether it was at us or for some other reason is unclear but it certainly didn't make me feel welcome. The only smile I got out of anyone working there was the guy that brought out our pizza and then mistakenly brought out fries instead of Loaded Fries.
  
  The menu is a full six pages but based on the hassle it was to get one order of loaded fries right, (and they still never got it right) it makes me think that the only thing Guida's Pizzeria cares about is their pizza orders.
  
  The only reparation they gave us was an extra 4 "Guida's Bucks" which apparently you get 1 for a $15 minimum purchase and need to collect 10 to get a free pizza, which means I would have to spend another $90 there to get that free pizza.
  
  I know I said the pizza was phenomenal but really, is it worth it for that level of service?

  This IS my neighborhood Pizza place. Nothing else around, NOT marks, NOT Pontillos, NOT Salvatores or even Cams comes close. I am from the pizza capital of New York, Long Island and after years of looking this has become my favorite. It is run by the owners one is always there, and they know me by name and are always friendly, plus we both like the same NFL team so that's a plus too. Their Large Pizza thick crust is always just right i get it a little underdone but lots of sauce and buttery cheese. I like when they use flour to dust under neath it not the cornmeal. You get a nice delicious slice every time. We also order their wings with breading and sweet and sour sauce on it, again just right. Meatball Parmesan subs are excellent too! Thanks for doing the one thing that shouldn't be rocket science RIGHT!! You guys are the best!
